Head lice in schools

I read a tweet today and wondered what the parents of the UK would think on this?

It is interesting I wonder how many parents know how head lice are transmitted. There is very little support in schools any more for parents. When schools do have a pupil with a heavy infestation they are left unable to do anything as schools seem to believe they are not allowed to get involved. This is not true, schools can have there own head lice policy but it needs to be passed by governors, not by the government.
